How many home businesses can you think of that can be started up TODAY, without spending a dime? Come on, think! Not one cent to start earning money from home right now? Did article writing come to mind?
Because you are reading this article on the internet, that tells me that you are already equipped with everything you need to start getting paid work straight away. And don’t worry, I am not talking here about sitting on a computer and sending out spam, crappy, junk emails to people you don’t know!
I want to share a little secret with you.I have started my own home business, and it is that which I now work on full time. I write. I’m not a journalist, I am not what would be considered an ‘author’. I have no formal writing qualifications. But here I am writing for a living, sometimes in my pyjamas (like now), sometimes at 5 am, other times at midnight.
What I have by having writing work as my home business is the flexibility to do it whenever I choose. I am not governed by a boss who wants me to work 9-5. I don’t have to battle traffic, and if I have personal or family commitment and dates, I can work around them. Before, I had to fit these important lifestyle choices around my work.
And you can do it too.
First up, you need access to a computer and the internet. You are reading this online, so you already check this box. If you happen to be reading it at work (don’t worry I won’t tell the boss), and you don’t have a computer at home, you can use an internet cafe or library to get access. Ideally of course, for best flexibility of working hours, get a computer an internet access from home, or a laptop with wireless access.
So where is the work?
Think about this. For every website on the internet, content is required. Many of these sites are set up by internet marketers whose success depends on getting traffic to their websites. In order to do this they need articles, ebooks and blog posts written, and this is where you come in.
You see, their expertise is in sales and marketing, not writing. They would prefer to outsource writing tasks to everyday people (because professionals charge way too much!). They want to give writing work to normal people who know about normal things: hobbies, work skills, sports, health etc. For every interest you have, there is a website based on it, and a webmaster needing content.
Certain freelance internet sites have been created to provide a place for writers who are looking for work to find available projects, and such sites are free to register with. You will probably need to set up a payment account like Paypal, but that is free too! Free Free Free.
You can’t get a cheaper home business set up than that. Start looking for your writing work today!

Monday 6th Feb 2012: My Prostate Cancer Diary.
So here is the problem. I have dismissed Surgery completly and that leads me to Radio Therapy as the only available conventional medical alternative.
My Oncologist want me to have Hormone Treatment to:
- a: Slow the Growth of the Cancer cells by (basically) chemically castrating me. Ouch!
- b: Shrink the Prostate down to a smaller target for his magic Death Ray.
I didn’t want to do that with Hormone treatment, but can appreciate why he wants to do that.
So I’m looking into all types of Natural and Alternative medications.
The best I have come up with is PawPaw (Papaya) as there have been quite a few studies with very promising reasults, PLUS it has been… Continue reading Prostate Cancer Diary - My Natural Alternative
Prostate Treatments and Me.
Long time coming since my last post – but I have been kinda busy…. Tests – tests and more tests
So this is the latest:
My Urologist sent me to the Radio Oncologist because I decided I do NOT want surgery. Apparently I can’t have Brachyatherapy (my original choice) because my Gleason Score is 8 – too high, so External Beam Therapy is the only option, even though they only found cancer cells in ONE of the TEN Biopsies they took.
HOWEVER: (I am discovering LOTS of ‘Howevers’), the Oncologist wants me to have Hormone Treatment first to bring my enlarged prostate down in size.
An ‘Average’ prostate is about 40mm – about the size of a small Plum -… Continue reading My Personal Prostate Cancer Treatment Options
And it came to pass….
A week or so has gone by since I wrote the first post on my ‘Personal Prostate Journey’ and was pleasantly surprised by the comments and messages sent to me.
So thank you all – I appreciate it.
But the one thing that caught me off guard was the WAY it has effected others in my family.
The general consensus was ‘ouch’ or ‘shit’ or some other expletives too bad to mention here – but you get the idea. However it was strange from my point of view to sort of accept it as a ‘fait accompli’ when others reacted differently.
One member of my immediate family came rushing to see me, while another has not mentioned it to me at… Continue reading Who Are The Innocent Victims of Prostrate Cancer?
